The Couple

Olivia and Raymond met in college and have been together for seven years.  “We actually took one class together and met through mutual friends. I got to know him better when we did our homework together!”

When I met these two, I could tell that Raymond knew how to get Olivia to have some fun.  He cared about her happiness, “Nothing makes me feel as whole or as happy than when we have a moment when she laughs or is truly happy.” Olivia pretty much loves everything about Raymond, “his support, kindness, generosity, passion, intelligence,” but most of all she loves how he makes her a better version of herself.

The Proposal

The most romantic trip together was to Carmel. Raymond surprised Olivia for her birthday and took her on a trip to Carmel-by-the-Sea. She was so surprised when he also proposed to her, “We stayed at a wonderful resort, took a hike along the beach, walked around downtown, and had a nice seafood dinner. At night, we went back to the suite. I was soaking my feet in the hot tub, and he joined me. He said he wished he got me a birthday present, and I said oh I don’t need a present, but he popped out the ring and said, how about this?”

The couple plans on having a small backyard wedding with their parents and siblings. Once everything is safe they plan on having a larger celebration with all their family and friends.

The Location

Hillcrest Park is Fullerton’s largest (35-acre) and most historical park. During the 1920s, the park was used as an overnight auto park site. Originally bare of trees, the park evolved through the 1930s and into its present form.

There are three structures included within the park: the recreation building, designed with a Spanish Colonial vibe, the Red Cross building, and the log cabin. My favorite feature of this park from this session was the top of the hill where you are able to have the perfect view of the mountains.
