About a week before the proposal, I met Jorge and his soon-to-be mother-in-law at El Matador, to go over the details on how he wanted to propose. After weighing out the pros and cons of each spot, Jorge knew the exact spot he wanted to propose and Diana’s.

Jorge met Diana at her Christmas work party, “I couldn’t take my eyes off her, I had to approach her and make small talk, the rest is history!” They have been together for three and a half years and enjoy trying new food and restaurants.

The Proposal

Jorge wanted to propose at the perfect beachfront scenery, “Took me a few drives down the coast to find the right place. I took one look at El Matador and I knew that was the spot.” Jorge waited for the perfect moment to pop the question, “Water hitting our feet, fresh and sunny. It couldn’t have gone better. The best part of the proposal was seeing her beautiful face smiling down at me, the sounds of the waves, and her saying YES!”

Diana was caught by complete surprise (and she is hard to surprise), “He pulled it off perfectly, everything I never knew I always wanted. So romantic and sweet, from having my family there to choosing a heart shaped ring with a lighted box. My fiancé has made me the happiest.”

Diana’s mom brought along different props for them to pose with and honestly there's nothing better than the support of your family. After the proposal we did a short engagement session along the beach and popped some champagne!
